A little bit about Kinfolks

Hi Everyone, thanks for visiting our website.  We hope things are going well out your way.  Let me tell you a little bit about Kinfolks.

Kinfolks Mountain Shop is located in downtown Manitou Springs, Co.  Manitou Springs is a wonderful little city nestled into the foot of Pikes Peak.  The city is blessed with a number of mineral spring fountains that can be found around the downtown area.  Each spring has it's own character and a "Spring Tour" to taste each spring is a popular activity among visitors here.  There are also numerous hiking and biking trails that surround us including the Barr Trail which takes you to the top of Pikes Peak, elev. 14,110 ft.  The Barr Trail is the site of a unique international marathon race up to the top of Pikes Peak and back.  Manitou Springs hosts this event in July each year.

Kinfolks has been locally owned and operated since it opened in June of 2004 as an outdoor retail gear and a bike shop.  The bonus was french press coffee, craft beer and live music in the back.  The locals soon gravitated towards the great atmosphere and a community feel started to grow.  Today Kinkolks is a thriving shop serving up award winning beers and live music.  Oh, and of course, some great gear.  Check out our virtual tour.

Come and visit us.  You can grab a beer after a hike on one of the many trails that are within walking distance from our shop.  You can sip on a pot of french press coffee while sitting out front with your dog watching the world go by.  You can sip a glass of wine while sitting on the back "porch" listening to Fountain Creek rush by the window.  You can come by some Friday or Saturday night and let the atmosphere and live music carry you away.  You can even drink a beer while shopping for a loved one.  Or just come down and make a new friend.  Whatever you do we think you will come away with a positive feeling, looking to perfom random acts of kindness on unsuspecting strangers.

DIRECTIONS:  To get to Kinfolks Mountain Shop from Colorado Springs go west on U.S. Highway 24 and take the Manitou Avenue exit. Drive west on Manitou Avenue for 1.3 miles. Kinfolks is on your right. Click on the map link provided to bring up a Google Maps Street View and directions.
